The ideal candidate would have 2-5 years of product safety testing or equivalent.

Knowledge of basic safety standards, IEC60950-1 and 62368-1

Proficiency in defining tests, setting up, and working with basic laboratory tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, dielectric withstand, touch current, traffic generators, data acquisition, calipers, thermal imaging, etc.)

Experience with the following safety tests: thermal, input current, capacitor discharge, dielectric withstand, earthing, abnormal operation, component failure, touch current, ball pressure, mold stress relief, stability tests.

Must be able to read schematics, PCB layouts and determine safety critical components.

Proven experience in providing innovative test solutions or automating tests.

Coordinate product testing and certification with independent listing agencies such as UL, CSA, Nemko.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Excellent organization and time management skills with tight schedules

Must be self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.

BS Engineering or equivalent

Preferred Skills:

Experience in Test Automation – Python or LabVIEW

Experience in Networking – CCNA or equivalent

Experience in CSA Supervised Manufacturer’s Test for Certification Program and UL Data Acceptance Program or similar ISO/IEC 17025 CTF Stage 3 accredited program.
