Position: Program Manager (Onsite – Austin)
Role Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Program Manager to oversee sustaining projects, qualification workflows, and the procurement and allocation of optic modules across various initiatives. The ideal candidate will serve as a central point of contact for cross-functional teams, ensuring project alignment, financial discipline, and effective stakeholder communication.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight: Define project priorities, maintain rigorous schedules, and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Facilitate collaboration between Engineering, Manufacturing, and external suppliers to drive project success.
- Progress Tracking: Monitor project status, sample availability, and the execution of testing schedules.
- Financial & Procurement Management: Execute purchase requests via Ariba Smart Buy, oversee invoice approvals, and maintain budget integrity.
- Communication: Facilitate team meetings, deliver status reports, and provide briefings to key stakeholders.
- Documentation: Maintain program documentation within Jira/Confluence and represent project status during Operations reviews.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Manage the procurement and distribution of optic modules, track inventory levels, and monitor purchase order lifecycles.
- Requirement Planning: Partner with Engineering Program Managers (EPMs) to forecast quarterly optical module needs and reconcile these against historical data to identify and resolve supply gaps.
Qualifications:
- Education & Engineering Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering is mandatory. Candidates must possess a solid technical foundation and understanding of hardware manufacturing environments.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in project management, procurement, or supply chain operations.
- Core Competencies: Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Operational Agility: Proven capacity to balance competing priorities, meet aggressive deadlines, and operate with minimal supervision.
- Personal Attributes: A proactive “can-do” attitude with a strong commitment to continuous learning. Must demonstrate the flexibility to work outside of standard business hours to support global cross-functional teams and urgent project milestones.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in spreadsheet management and familiarity with project tracking tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Preferred Skills: Prior experience with DVT testing processes is highly desirable.
